My son left this world @ the young age of 18. I used to belong to Compassionate Families years ago but they went away and I had no support group to speak of. I met Tina on Facebook because I thought she was part of that group. I explained my situation and she graciously accepted me into the group which helped tremendously with my son's loss. Tina and Ed are heaven sent. They have helped so many people and I hope they can continue for years to come. I love to volunteer for them because it helps me give something back

Compassionate Warriors has had an impact on me and some of my family members by keeping our love ones memories alive. The title says and mean exactly what it stands for COMPASSIONATE WARRIORS!!!! Your existence has made a positive difference, your support and love has made an impact on others. You still choose to shine even after all the storms you have been through. May God continue blessing you as you have blessed others. We love you always!

My time with Compassionate Warriors was beautiful, Tina has been a godsend she always has events for fellowship and to provide support and acknowledgement of our angels. She goes above and beyond for those a part all while honoring Trevor and going through her own grief process. It is with gratitude that I type this feedback/review and I wish her organization continued growth, success and healing.

My oldest son, Jonah Golden, was murdered as he was trying to leave a house party on April 23, 2016. It’s been unbelievably difficult to find support for victims of homicide in a city that carries such a high homicide rate. When I found Compassionate Warriors, I feel like I found the group I had been waiting for. Compassionate Warriors offers services that are so very unique and much needed here in Jacksonville. Tina organizes events that bring all of us together and allows us the interaction we can only have with other parents who’ve lost children/family to homicide. That togetherness is everything! Tina also remembers us on our children’s/loved ones birthdays and the day they were taken from us. It truly helps knowing that someone else cares and will help carry that grief with us. I'm so thankful for Compassionate Warriors support.

My daughter Khina Culler was killed on 5/5/19. When I first met Ms. Tina, she had such an outgoing spirit about herself. You wouldn’t think that she’s been through, what she’s been through. Her and the members of C.W. embraced me with open arms. They treated me with so much compassion, so much love, that it filled in the gaps of my “PAIN” from my loss. This is an organization that hears the cries of the families that lost loved ones to “Gun Violence. They carry not only the weight of ”Trevor”, but the weight of others loved ones on their shoulders . The things C.W. does for so many families, I don’t think words that can describe the gratitude we have for the thoughtfulness they spread to each family. I’m forever grateful to be embraced by each and every one of their presence. Thank you so much Ms. Tina. I love you with all my heart. Thank you Compassionate Warriors for filling the voids!

I have so many things to say that are amazing about Compassionate Warriors. First and foremost, I think Tina is a blessing to each person that she touches. I went to my first candlelight that she hosted and got to see Moms that I had not seen in sometime. Through the years I’ve attended every candlelight vigil that she has hosted for homicide victims or victims of violence. They have grown and grown, and they are truly amazing from beginning to end. Compassionate Warriors not only hosts candlelight vigil‘s, Tina is active with each angel mom that she’s been in contact with. Tina brings gifts to each one of us on our angels passing anniversaries. Although she endures her own pain and grief, she is there at a drop of a dime if any one of us needs her. Compassionate Warriors is one of the most amazing foundations that I have grown into and grown to love. Compassionate Warriors host many events that are meaningful and they bring angel families together where we can help to pick each other up, grow with one another, and truly help us bond. I am blessed to have found such an amazing foundation and through it have gained an amazing friend and angel sister!!!! Thank you compassionate Warriors, and Tina!! You are a blessing!!!

Compassionate Warriors has helped me more then words can express, after Jalen’s death. I reached out to this organization to partner together to help the community, since then I have built a bond with Tina Gray! To know her is to love her! Tina has to be one of the most compassionate, thoughtful beings that I have met! She organized a day to feed the homeless in Jax Fl. followed by having a barbecue to meet and greet families that have lost their loved ones! The Jalen L. Hunter Foundation appreciates Compassionate Warriors and look forward to continuing to partner with them to let the community know that we care.

When searching for a bear to be made in memory of a lost loved one, I came across Compassionate Warriors Facebook page . I noticed the support everyone was receiving from Tina and everyone else at C.W on her page. I love this organization and everything they do. Remembering those we have lost , bringing everyone together to put their pain in to passion, and healing together as a unit, AN ARMY . Compassionate Warriors is a family that spreads awareness. They help us to keep our loved ones spirit alive by remembering them in many ways such as Teddy Bears, Candlelight vigils, T-shirts , rock painting, and so much more . The dedication and hard work that is put into this organization has an extreme impact on many lives. They are the true definition to the term "Warrior". I salute each and everyone of you. You are amazing for and at what you do! Thank you from the bottom of my heart for Honoring Aaron Jones. Keep fighting for peace, justice, and change in our community! With great love and deep gratitude always -

My family is so very thankful for the help that Mrs Tina and Compassionate Warriors has given my family. We were in jeopardy of getting our electricity turned off and Mrs Tina was able to help me with exactly what we needed to keep electricity on in our home. I was in between jobs and money was very tight. I reached out to Mrs Tina and she helped me out when no one else could. We are very thankful and grateful.

On behalf of ITY and the family of 4 that you were able to sponsor for Christmas, we want to extend our most humble appreciation for all that you did for this family. If it wasn't for the warmth and care of Compassionate Warriors this family would of went without sponsorship for the holidays. We are greatly thankful.

Compassionate Warriors is a very much needed service for the victims of homicide or any other type of loss we experience at the hands of others. I was part of another group that was established but no longer available and knew I still needed the camaraderie of people who had experienced the same loss as I. When I came looking I found Tina and her group and it still helps after 18 years of loss to know there is something and someone out there that cares enough to advocate and help so you know your loss wasn't in vain.

I had nobody else to turn to when I reached out to Compassionate Warriors of Jacksonville. My daughter was homeless on the streets with her daughter and needed somewhere to stay. Compassionate Warriors paid for her to stay in a hotel and got her off the streets. I am forever thankful for their help!

I am a single mother with 2 young children, my 9 Year old non verbal autism, low functioning. I'm unemployed and was trying to earn money to keep a roof over their heads, food, and basic needs. I don't have transportation. I posted an ad offering to wash cars and Compassionate Warriors sent me some money to help with our needs. I really appreciate the help! Thank you!

Compassionate Warriors helped my family with food when we really needed it. I am a mother of 4 and we needed food to last us for a week until our food stamps hit. Without their help I don't know what I would have done. Thank you so much for caring about others the way you do. I really appreciate your kindness and help!

I came across the Compassionate Warriors group page on Facebook, I had recently lost my brother to murder. I got in touch with Ms Gray and she shared my post asking for help to solve his murder. She had just had a candlelight vigil for the 48 murder victims a couple days before and offered to add my brothers name to one of the crosses. I really appreciated her doing this! She was also having an event called a little piece of heaven and she invited me to attend. I was so distraught when I showed up to this event, a complete emotional wreck over my brother's death. Pamela Theresa helped me gain clarity and to hear from my brother after his death was an amazing gift. When I left this event I felt as though a weight had been lifted. Thank you so much!

Wasn't sure how we were gonna make it through the week without food or personal items. I messaged Compassionate Warriors and they helped me and my six kids with not only food but personal items as well. I had lost all hope and didn't no where to turn but this amazing group helped me in my time of need and I have no words to express how grateful I truly am. I will definitely pay it forward in the near future. Blessings always

During the Pandemic I was staying in a hotel without food, clothing or a ride to get my prescriptions. A member of Compassionate Warriors took me to the doctors to pick up my prescriptions, took me to the pharmacy to get them filled, got me food and brought me groceries several times. They also helped me get out of the place I was staying in and found me a room to rent in a good neighborhood. They embraced me like family and I am forever grateful!
